Editorial Policy

Readers should be able to tell who wrote a page, when it was written and what kind of evidence supports it.

Historical material

We retain original dates and bylines in the restored Dutch archive. Restoration is not a new publication date. Old first-person statements, review-copy disclosures and event reports describe the original author's circumstances.

Contemporary notes are visually separate, dated and attributed to the current editorial desk. We do not rewrite a historical review to make it endorse a current product. Missing or disputed details should be reported through the contact form.

New editorial work and AI assistance

New guides are prepared with AI assistance. Sources, observed file behaviour and practical limitations are recorded alongside the material. We do not imply that an unnamed expert, native-language panel or the original blogger performed the new work.

A language example can identify a concrete problem without establishing a complete quality score. Technical counts and file comparisons are not a substitute for a qualified bilingual editor's review of a full book.

Product observations

Tests must identify their date, input, language, format and environment. An excerpt test is described as an excerpt test. A check in an isolated environment is not called a paid customer experience. We retain failed outcomes and explain what we did not test.

The first study uses public-domain English passages and our own diagnostic images. Its results support specific observations about those files, not a claim that all books or languages behave the same way.

Commercial relationships

About my bookshelf and Skillsfor.ai share an owner. AmeliaIndieAuthors and PublishingEDU are related sites. A product placement or evaluation must make the relevant relationship clear nearby. Commercial links are marked as sponsored in their HTML. The archive's historical authors have not endorsed those placements.

Credits, editions and corrections

Translator names are tied to the edition for which evidence is available. We do not infer an original language from an author's nationality or fill an empty credit with a guess. Material corrections to new articles should be dated and explained. A factual correction to the archive should preserve the distinction between the recovered source and a modern clarification.
